Who makes it happen?

State & territory governments and councilsrun the footpaths, crossings, bike and bus lanes, public transport and speed limits. They can deliver fast, but they need the money.

The federal governmentcan fund them to do it. All nine cost about $2.19 billion, the same as five more months of the fuel excise cut, and they keep saving households money long after.
