Become a Member of Better Streets

We’re excited to announce that Better Streets is now calling for Expressions of Interest to become a Member 🎉 and help us make an even bigger difference in communities across Australia.

Our 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held online this October. It’s a great opportunity to:

• 📢 Hear about our achievements from the past year

• 👀 Get a preview of our campaign priorities for the year ahead

• 🙋 Play an active role in shaping our direction by voting, or even nominating, for the Better Streets Board

As a registered charity, our AGMs and Board positions are open to Members. That’s why we’re putting the finishing touches to our new Membership Program—to make it clear who can join, what it costs and what Members receive.

Membership will complement, not replace, other ways you can support our mission for safer, healthier, more loveable streets 🚶🚴🌳—whether that’s volunteering, tax-deductible donations, attending events, subscribing to our newsletter or (for organisations) becoming a Better Streets Coalition Partner.

💡 We want your input

Before we finalise the Membership Program, we’d love your thoughts. In your Expression of Interest, please tell us:

• What benefits (if any) would you like to see as part of Membership, beyond helping shape Better Streets’ impact?
  

• Thinking about other groups you’re part of, what lessons can we borrow for our program?
  

• What do you think is a fair and accessible Membership fee—one that covers our admin and ops costs but stays affordable?
